JJ’s Management Team
Meta Corporate Finance today announces the sale of JJ’s, the specialist typesetting and data management business, to its management team.
The retiring shareholders Terry Reed and Tony Sutherby were keen that the company should continue in the hands of the team that had been critical to its recent growth. The team was also strongly supported by JJs major customers.
The MBO team, Alan Halls, Mike Chiddicks and Malcolm Treglohan are joined by Brian Moss of chartered accountants Moss Woolf & Simons.
Alan said, “We are very keen to continue the growth of JJs and further develop the key relationships with our major publisher customers. Our ability to rapidly and accurately repurpose our customers’ data means that we foresee developing our support services into the e-commerce arena.”
Mark Ledger-Beadell, who led the transaction on behalf of Meta said, “There was a long term understanding that the ownership of JJ’s would transfer to the management team and I was very happy to help with this transformation. The support of the Royal Bank of Scotland and their mezzanine based approach meant the transition could be effected without shareholding going outside the management group.”
