Bidvest Fresh Partnership

Meta Corporate Finance is delighted to announce a strategic partnership between Melfar Meats and Bidvest Fresh.  

Melfar Meats, founded by Stuart Ferretti in 2011, is headquartered in state of the art purpose-built premises in South West London.  The business, which serves customers directly and via its website, has a well-deserved reputation for the provision of the highest quality beef, pork, poultry, lamb and game. The investment and partnership will enable Melfar’s fine fresh meat to be delivered to an even wider audience of high quality restaurants, caterers and clubs.

Stuart Ferretti has grown Melfar to a near £2m turnover from start-up within four years.  The combination of Stuart’s entrepreneurial skills and the resources offered by Bidvest will give Melfar the opportunity to expand more quickly and to become London’s leading supplier of quality meats. 

Stuart will remain the leader of Melfar’s development and presence in the market.

Bidvest Fresh is part of the Bidvest Group, an International company with a strong portfolio of businesses within the foodservice sector along with presence in many other sectors such as finance and logistics.

Bidvest Fresh supplies national and independent customers within the catering industry with fresh ingredients via longstanding investments in Direct Seafoods, Campbell Brothers (quality meats) and Oliver Kay (produce).

Each business is expertly run by knowledgeable staff, passionate about provenance and quality of the product they supply, leaving customers safe in the knowledge they are receiving quality ingredients from local, reliable sources; to the specifications they require.
