Abacus eMedia Digital Media Specialist

Meta is pleased to announce the management buy-out of the online service developer and digital media specialist, Abacus e-Media, from its owner of four years, Bond International Software Plc. The MBO is backed by funding from the management and from external investors, including three well-known and experienced players – Graham Sherren, Martin Durham and Nick Miller.

Abacus has become established as a leading online supplier for both the media and public sectors. In the media sector the companysupports the online properties of leading publishers such as EMAP, Centaur, UBM, Macmillan and Thomson Reuters. Public sector clients include Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Oxfordshire County Councils, and the Bank of England.

Meta Corporate Finance was introduced to Steve Feigen, the managing director of Abacus, by Martin Durham who joins as non-executive chairman together with Graham Sherren and Nick Miller as non-executive directors.

Meta advised the management team in all aspects of negotiation with their listed parent Bond International Software.
